A group of students at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York, is conducting a study to improve the Healthcare experience of Female Veterans. The study is being conducted with the Veterans Affairs (VA) New York Harbor Healthcare System. One student involved in the project, Alexia Cohen, says:
“We are looking into the experience of women veterans at the VA and in our society so that we can come up with creative design solutions to address issues that might come up. We are at the early stages of our research and are conducting interviews to gauge what the woman vet experience is like.”
You will find a handout pertaining to the interview located on the 9th floor of the VA Hospital on East 23rd street and 1st Avenue. Approximately 6-8 Female Veterans will be interviewed and asked a series of questions pertaining to their experience with the VA Healthcare System.
